Aragosta Vermentino

Started in 1946 on the island of Sardinia, the Cantina Santa Maria La Palma winery is made up of many small family farms that tend to their land and property under the guidance and supervision of a careful team of agronomists and oenologists. These families work in harmony supporting and collaborating with each other and making the most of their experience and diversity. 

The thread that brings these wines together is the story of these farmers and their history that brings them together. The Vermentino di Sardegna has become one of the best-selling white wines in Italy. This vibrant white wine offers a tremendous value and year after year the quality and craftsmanship of the families is tasted in every bottle. 

Vermentino Aragosta is an iconic wine of Sardinian wine and food. The wine is harvested from vineyards throughout the winery which provides multiple soil types that inject their personality into the varietal. 100% Vermentino this wine is light straw yellow in color with hints of fruity and floral bouquet that leads to a savory, slightly saline flavor with a fruity finish.

The Wine Spectator’s International Wine Bible named this to their top one hundred wine values in the world!

When we opened the bottle, we were transplanted to the Island of Sardinia, think the second season of White Lotus, this white is well balanced with notes of green apple interspersed with citrus and good acidity. The Lobster on the label is to remind us that this great acidity will pair well with rich shellfish dishes and cut through all that ‘Buttah that you dip that Lobstah’ in.
